ZipDownloads – Download and Update Management for Joomla

ZipDownloads is a powerful Joomla extension for centrally managing, categorizing, and securely providing downloadable files. Even large download collections can be clearly organized using main categories and subcategories and conveniently presented on a website.

In addition to traditional download management, ZipDownloads includes an integrated Joomla Release and Update Center. Your own Joomla components, modules, plugins, and packages can be managed as products and published with version numbers, release channels, Joomla and PHP compatibility information, changelogs, and SHA checksums. ZipDownloads generates the required Joomla update feeds so that installed extensions on different domains can automatically detect when a new version is available.

Update downloads can optionally be protected using individual download keys. This makes ZipDownloads suitable for both public downloads and the centralized distribution and maintenance of your own Joomla extensions.

Highlights: Categories and subcategories, secure downloads, Joomla update feeds, release management, Stable/Beta/RC channels, changelogs, SHA-256/SHA-512 checksums, optional download keys, and a multilingual user interface.
