Regiosucher QR Code is a powerful module for Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 that automatically generates an individual QR code for every page viewed. This allows visitors to quickly open, save, or share the current page using a smartphone or tablet.

The QR code is generated automatically the first time a page is accessed and is then cached locally on the server. On subsequent visits, the existing QR code image is reused. This reduces processing load and makes the module suitable even for high-traffic Joomla websites.

QR code generation takes place entirely locally. No external QR code service is required, and page URLs do not need to be transmitted to third-party providers. This improves both independence and privacy when using the module.

The cache directory has also been taken into account for secure operation. The storage location for generated QR code files is protected against unwanted access and unsafe file paths.

The configurable URL mode allows administrators to define which URL, or which form of the current page address, is stored in the QR code. The QR code is displayed clearly and centered within the selected module position.

Because QR codes are generated automatically from the currently viewed page, there is no need to maintain individual QR codes manually. New content and pages can therefore be equipped with a matching QR code immediately.
